This website is dedicated to the soldiers and history of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps, from Pre Federation Colonial Light Horse Regiments to the present day Corps. It will endeavor to cover the history and traditions of each Regiment and include battle honours, personalities, badges and insignia, and of course pictures.
The "story, the type and the temperament" are the three pillars that our stud is built on. We are committed to getting the old bloodlines the recognition they deserve because of the part they played in the history of our nation. We also realise that sentiment alone is not enough and that recognition must also come through performance in the various equestrian disciplines that are suited to these horses.
Australia's largest Equine Recreational and Pleasure Association The Society aims to preserve and promote the bloodlines of the Australian Stock Horse, recognised for its versatility and superior performance amongst work and leisure breeds. Our Board of Directors endeavours to ensure that the history and identity of the Australian Stock Horse remains clearly identified and for the Australian Stock Horse to continue for many years to come.
The Australian Army History Unit's mission: to serve the Australian Army by assisting it to meet its goals by promoting the study and understanding of Army's history and traditions within Army and also by utilising Army's rich heritage to foster continued good standing with the community.

I picked up the print today from our nosy small town postal worker. "What did you get from Australia?" she asked. When I remarked that it was a print of the Australian Light Horse in WWI all that generated was a very puzzled look. In any event the print is absolutely gorgeous . . . better "in person" than on the website! Thanks so much for sending it out so fast. Now I've got to make some wall space available . . . Mike
Your print on canvas "The Charge" was given to me at my retirement dinner by my officers of the Special Operations Component, Coral Springs Police Department in Coral Springs, Florida. Trully stunning rendition which captures the excitement of the moment while conveying a warmth of comeradeship to the end. It will hang in my study above my collection of King and Country Lighthorsemen collectibles.
I served 35 years with Coral Springs Police Department with the last four years as Captain of the S.O.C. which is 26 officers strong with various units (Tactical & Gang, K-9, Bikes and Substations).
