Light Horse Art Ron & Jennifer Marshall Marshall Fine Art Editions

November 2012

Hello Everybody,

Summer is here and Christmas is racing twards us...and I have some great gift ideas for you ...

First: Apologies- the last nesletter was in August- but having compiled it my brain ticked that box and I went on to other things, and forgot to send it!- absent minded artist or what?- just inept? forgetful?????

Pictured is my beautiful daughter Rowena and my grandson Landon David at 2 weeks of age. Handsome little chap isn't he! Congratulations Rowena and Owen.

He's doing very well- put on a whole kilogram in just 3 weeks!

He timed his arrival nicely so that Rowena had a couple of weeks to recover - she sat her First year medical exams this week! Fortunately her inlaws from Wales arrived at the beginning of November, first grandchild for them too.

Morpeth Gallery

Trevor Richards of Morpeth NSW is now showing my paintings. I am quite proud to be included in the Morpeth Gallery's stable of artists, they are among the best high quality Australian realist artists. The gallery is above the old Cambell's Store complex, and is full of fascinating art and craft and specialty shops, as is the quaint little township in which it resides. Morpeth sits on the riverbank just northeast of Maitland and is well worth a visit.

Australian Light Horse Art Exhibition @ Morpeth Gallery
Ron and I have been invited by Trevor to have a small exhibition of our Australian Light Horse paintings with John Bradley's navy and air force war paintings at the Morpeth Gallery just prior to Anzac day 2013.

IMMINENT PRICE RISE  Next year the Morpeth Gallery will also be selling my Limited Edition Prints at retail prices. This means that the price of our Limited Edition prints will rise considerably. To be fair I must advertise them on my website at the retail price. So if you have been thinking about getting a print or prints, now is the time to do it...before Jan 1, 2013.

"The Anzac On The Wall"

This high quality CD has 15 tracks of poignant beautiful songs. A marvellous gift.

(and yes that is Ron's painting "Desert Persuit" on the cover!) Details

$22.50 inc postage

I picked up the print today from our nosy small town postal worker. "What did you get from Australia?" she asked. When I remarked that it was a print of the Australian Light Horse in WWI all that generated was a very puzzled look.
In any event the print is absolutely gorgeous . . . better "in person" than on the website! Thanks so much for sending it out so fast. Now I've got to make some wall space available . . .

Dear Mr. Marshall,

Your print on canvas "The Charge" was given to me at my retirement dinner by my officers of the Special Operations Component, Coral Springs Police Department in Coral Springs, Florida. Trully stunning rendition which captures the excitement of the moment while conveying a warmth of comeradeship to the end. It will hang in my study above my collection of King and Country Lighthorsemen collectibles.

I served 35 years with Coral Springs Police Department with the last four years as Captain of the S.O.C. which is 26 officers strong with various units (Tactical & Gang, K-9, Bikes and Substations).

Your painting made my day, thank you, F McK.
